New Zealand's Single-use Plastic Products Banned or Phased out from July 2023

The Waste Minimisation (Plastic and Related Products) Regulations 2022 continues to be amended by the New Zealand Government. From 1 July 2023, the sale or manufacture of single-use plastic produce bags is not permitted which includes recyclable plastic bags, biodegradable plastic bags, plant-based or compostable plastic bags. By switching to paper bags, you align your business with this initiative and help create a cleaner and greener New Zealand.  All businesses are legally obligated to comply with the regulations.
